Working as an academic is such a privilege. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it actually felt like a privilege?

Maybe just daring to face the shadow sides of our academic environment, facing our shadow sides and being able to laugh about our encounters help us on our way. In fact, I believe that the way in which we handle insensitive remarks and small, thoughtless sentences in email traffic, and also how we make space for meaningful encounters and inspiring connections influences the way in we which care for ourselves in the academic environment.
